Pidgin as an IM client does not have accounts. Pidgin connects to
accounts on other services.

The only data we host is the email list archives and our developer's
(those with @pidgin.im email addresses) home directories.

Whata "records" or data would you be looking to preserve?

This sort of thing should be sent to board at imfreedom.org

Thank you very much for your assistance in this matter.

That is correct. We do not gather information about specific user
communications within the Pidgin application. All relevant usage data
would be stored on the end users' computers or on the platform of the
communications service that Pidgin is being used to access.

I didn't see the message to which Ethan is replying. I'll guess the
DOJ replied back to security and Luke, but omitted Board? :(

Must have gone to board@, I did a group reply and it automatically
included board.

Weird. Gmail is putting all these messages in one "conversation", but
I only have Luke -> Ethan -> Myself -> Ethan.

Without looking at the logs (I don't have access), I've got my money on
elb replying to a post sent to security at p.im and board at imf, but didn't
get to board@ because misconfig or spam filter. When he replied all it
ended up putting them on the cc list.

I guess what I'm saying is that it sounds plausible that board at imf is
dumping some emails?

There haven't been any moderation requests, so if it's being held or
dropped, it's happening silently. I'd check the Mailman logs, but I
don't think I have shell access to the server.
