Ah thanks, I was wondering what was happening there. I switched imf to my
donation charity awhile ago.

I'm not all that familiar with Amazon Smile, so this confused me.
After a small bit of sleuthing, I think I maybe understand:

1. Nobody has officially registered IMF with Amazon Smile, but
2. Gary (and maybe others) have selected IMF as the charity, and
3. #2 is possible because IMF is listed on Guidestar
(https://www.guidestar.org/profile/59-3837808).
4. Amazon's message went to Sean because his address is one Guidestar
has on file for IMF, and
5. Someone needs to register with Amazon Smile to claim the donations
(https://org.amazon.com)

Sound right?

I'm happy to register with AS, but I don't think I have the EFT info
to provide them. Or can I do that with the Paypal account? I tend to
think this falls under the treasurer purview, unless I'm overlooking
some separation/oversight/etc factor here.

Regarding #4, would it be possible to get an update on "the address
situation" before the next meeting?

I noticed the Guidestar page mentions that "no mission has been
provided", and I'm guessing nobody has registered an account with
them? I can do that too, and claim the page, but I wanted to ask
whether we already have one.

Thanks!

Matthew

The address situation starts with us finding a remailer (I can't recall the
specific term I've heard) that we're comfortable with. Of the ones I've
looked at, they all seem really dicey. If any one has any suggestions I'd
love to hear them.

After that, we have to file the new address with someone, can't recall who
exactly. Some business listing place.

Anyways this has taken so long because on average it would take 3+ weeks to
get any sort of a response out of the SFLC. We finally were finishing up a
renewel agreement for them to represent us when my contact there left. The
person that jumped in had no idea what was going on and I got frustrated
and basically left it there.

I've contimplated reaching out to the SFC but have yet to do so. If anyone
has any suggestions or feels they would be better suited to see this
through, please let me know.

Hello, all.

Now that we're much closer to June, I want to send out a confirmation
that we're still on for John's proposed time. That's late on June 10
in the US, June 11 elsewhere.

Still good for everyone?
